Registration Web）QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPLICATION
1.Overseas Compatriot Youth:
• Applicants should hold an I-Compatriot Card when applying for the program.
• Applicants must be in the 10th grade or above at the time of application and between the ages of 16 and 25 (as shown on passport) by November 30, 2023 and live in an English speaking country (those not living in an English speaking country must study in the international schools where the main teaching language is English or provide proof of achieving higher than CEFR B2 level.). Applicants must have basic communication skills in Mandarin.
• Applicants who apply this program as Hakka origin must be recommended by Hakka association or groups in their overseas residential areas.
• Applicants who have registered for the English Teaching Volunteer Service Program before can apply again.
2.For Students with recommendation letter from TCMLs or Taiwanese Mandarin teachers teaching in mainstream schools:
• The Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning(TCMLs) can recommend students under the age of 25 who can communicate in basic Mandarin (recommendation letters must be attached when registering. For those from non-English-speaking countries, a certificate of English test B2 or above is also required.)
• Taiwanese Mandarin teachers currently teaching in mainstream schools in Europe and the United States can each recommend 2 students of any ethnicity who are enrolled in the 10th grade or above at the time of application and between the ages of 16 and 25 (as shown on passport) by November 30, 2023 can communicate in basic Mandarin. A letter of recommendation from a teacher must be attached when registering. For those from non-English-speaking countries, a certificate of English test B2 or above is also required.
NOTICE FOR APPLICATION
Admission status will be posted on the official website of the OCAC (www.ocac.gov.tw) and the OCAC activity registration website before May 19, 2023. The admitted should reply Agree to Participate or Cannot Participate before May 26, 2023.
